People love it when you use those magic words- factory direct. Makes one feel as though the middle man has truly been removed. If you're buying from a 'factory direct' dealer, chances are the price you pay is not really wholesale. Some of the manufactured home dealers I know of crank the price up big time. A little shopping should take care of it. Don't just get 1 price. Check around and try to compare apples to apples, if you will. Many times people don't understand the differences between the homes.
